Viva Leisure was proud to play a part in the NSW Waratahs’ 2026 Season Awards this week, with Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Harry Konstantinou presenting the Chris Whitaker Aspiring Waratah Award to Sid Harvey.

The award, named after Waratahs and Wallabies great Chris Whitaker, recognises the player who best embodies the qualities of an emerging Waratah. Harvey capped off a breakout campaign that also saw him named Super Rugby Pacific Rookie of the Year, finishing third in voting for the Matt Burke Cup behind Max Jorgensen and Matt Philip.

Viva Leisure Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Harry Konstantinou said the award was a fitting way to celebrate the connection between elite sporting performance and the everyday pursuit of health and fitness.

The evening also saw Max Jorgensen claim the Matt Burke Cup and Men’s Best Back, with Amelia Whitaker named Women’s Player of the Year and Best Back. Matt Philip (Men’s Best Forward), Kaitlan Leaney (Women’s Best Forward), Piper Simons (Women’s Rookie of the Year) and Edwin Langi (Dave Dennis Award) were also recognised on the night, alongside Hall of Fame inductees Otto Nothling, Eric Tweedale and Peter Carson.

Viva Leisure became a Platinum Partner of the NSW Waratahs in 2025, with the partnership continuing through the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season.
